Owner Lamay Adams was born to landscape! Daylily Landscaping grew out of Lamay’s passion for landscape beautification and a commitment to enhancing the environment. Raised in a rural family in Southern Maryland, Lamay was exposed to working on the family farm, mowing grass, and amending soil for plantings at a young age. Her upbringing cultivated into a natural passion for landscaping and led her to start her own landscape company in 2004.

Lamay is a UMD certified master gardener, landscape designer, River Smart & Bay Friendly trained expert and a recent graduate of Turner School of Construction Management. Lamay has put together a dynamic team of landscape professionals to bring her vision of Daylily to birth.

The Daylily team has over 25 years combined experience in landscape construction, storm water management, design/build installation, consulting, grounds maintenance, tree care & removal and snow and ice management. The quality of our team is one of the keys to our growing success!

In 2010 we became a certified local, small, and disadvantaged business enterprise (“CBE”) registered with the District of Columbia Department of Small Local Business Development. We understand the requirements for Certified Payroll, First Source Agreements, Davis-Bacon Wage Rates, Section 3 and Apprenticeship programs within the District.
